Simpsons for or against?

Ok well ima start a debate ;)

It shall be on any topic of the simpsons..
It goes like this..

For: the simspons promotes violence in there shows.
evidence: Homer strangles bart all the time.

Then the next person will be like..
against: the does not promote violence..
evidence: the show has morals....
new topic: the simpsons are just for lols.
evidence: they always make stuff funny..

it will just keep on going ;)
I will start.

For: the simspons promotes violence in there shows.
evidence: Homer strangles bart all the time.

Against: More people find it comical than violent.
Evidence: People continue watching it and there has never been a ban set on it. Also, if society had a problem with it they'd bring it up with the creator and he'd be forced to stop it otherwise they would be canceled.

for: the simpsons are hilarious
evidence: day make me laugh!

Against: People find it more entertaining than "Violent" and they are now adding a rating to shows such as the Simpsons,Family Guy and more.

Evidence: The "FOX" channel rules state that there shall be a very small percentage of violence and some shows will be terminated due to the fact of too much violent activity. Simpsons has been on air for a long time!
